I don't see tulips here too often, and certainly not in grocery stores. Imagine my delight when I found these babies at Central Market last week:

I was also pleased to find these gorgeous herbs which are destined for the big flower pot on my front porch.
Basil, oregano and chives. Nothing like fresh herbs!!

I love tulips. They are definitely special around here too. I've never tried growing herbs. I visited a friend of mine last night and she had a beautiful pot of basil on her table (I had to ask what it was - very inexperienced in fresh herbs)...but it made me want to try!
